There is much I owe
to those I do not love.
The relief in accepting
they are closer to another.
Joy that I am not
the wolf to their sheep.
My peace be with them
for with them I am free,
and this, love can neither give,
nor know how to take.
I don't wait for them
from window to door.
Almost as patient
as a sun dial,
I understand
what love does not understand.
I forgive
what love would never have forgiven.
Between rendezvous and letter
no eternity passes,
only a few days or weeks.
My trips with them always turn out well.
Concerts are heard.
Cathedrals are toured.
Landscapes are distinct.
And when seven rivers and mountains
come between us,
they are rivers and mountains
well known from any map.
It is thanks to them
that I live in three dimensions,
in a non-lyrical and non-rhetorical space,
with a shifting, thus real, horizon.
They don't even know
how much they carry in their empty hands.
"I don't owe them anything",
love would have said
on this open topic.
These Shoes tell stories, she thought.
El dolor de sus pies cansados y la historia detras de ellos...

Las piernas largas,
ResponderEliminarla camisa arrugada.
Un hurto, una mentira
y del pescuezo el alma
por pasión apañada.
Y estas enmohecidas ganas
de decirte en serio mi sonrisa.
Me pregunto
qué buscas en mi que está en ti.
Un mil de ideas distorsionadas,
abuso de rimas forzadas,
voy con las piernas largas
y la camisa arrugada.
No tengo nada,
la piel se me encuera
por dentro y por fuera
y pregunto qué busco en ti
que tengo yo,
monótono, rutinario…
ordinario…normal.
¿A caso busco en ti unos triques?
¿Un lazarillo,
un confidente pa’ mi perro
o un te quiero?
¿Un te quiero?
Ah chinga…
Y me llevan las piernas,
las ansias y la camisa,
al pecho injertada la mentira.
La inspiración en la tinta
y la pasión la tengo empeñada
con Don Chon, el usurero.
Él vende fe,
caricias, pasión,
amor verdadero…
puntería por cinco varos,
al que abono cada semana
eslabones para mi cadena.
Va mi condena, ya ven:
latino, clasemediero,
poeta, cochino, jarocho…
desempleado.
Chinga…
Y me llevan las piernas,
las ansias y la camisa.
No quiero relojes,
jornadas de trabajo,
oro ni plata.
Esta noche, mamita,
lo único que quiero es romper tu piñata,
rodearte de dulces,
regalarte las frutas.
Poeta me quiero
y poeta te quiero.
Si la poesía eres tú
no quiero terminar de funcionario,
jamás volver a tener un amo
ni ser usurero.
Sólo muero un chingo de ganas por decir
te quiero.
